This is an outdoor show in November! The first time I heard about this I couldn’t wait to see how the show was set up – large outdoor tents with heat being blown in – really??
Yep, really. I was very impressed with the quality and variety – and the set-ups by the artists inside the tent. Some had their usual craft show tents set up inside the tent – or some used just the canopy. It was warm, cozy and inviting. I made a mental note to myself back then, if I ever did that show – bring lights! It’s a craft show axiom – can’t have enough lights. That’s even true indoors in the daytime, but in the winter, it’s especially true when it gets dark early. Some of these artists were in tents within a tent so they were well-lit!
There is a ton to do at this market – carriage rides, lots of food, Elf School (where kids can make craft items), live entertainment, Festival of Trees, visit Santa Claus and the Mrs.
Here are the Rochester Artisan members selling their goods at this event. You’ll note how many awards have been won between them, a sure sign this is a top notch show.
